2. 33 The entire Rila IBA is of worldwide importance as a representative area for the Alpine biome, given that three species of birds restricted to this biome and characteristic thereof, of the four registered in the Republic of Bulgaria, are present there, namely the wallcreeper, the Alpine chough and the Alpine accentor.

33 Das gesamte IBA Rila sei als für das alpine Biom repräsentatives Gebiet von weltweiter Bedeutung, da drei auf dieses Biom beschränkte und hierfür charakteristische Vogelarten von den vier für die Republik Bulgarien registrierten dort vertreten seien, nämlich der Mauerläufer, die Alpendohle und die Alpenbraunelle.

The most significant individual contribution concerns a new section of the Pilot Conservation Programme for the Brazilian rain Forest (PPG7), the Ecological corridors project, which aims to test and consolidate a new approach to biodiversity protection by the expanding, diversifying and better linking of protected areas within two of the main Brazilian biomes, the Amazonian forest and the Atlantic forest.

Der bedeutendste Einzelbeitrag betrifft ein neues Kapitel des Pilotprogramms zur Erhaltung der brasilianischen Regenwälder (PPG7), das Projekt «ökologische Korridore», bei dem es um die Erprobung und Konsolidierung eines neuen Ansatzes zum Schutz der biologischen Vielfalt im Wege der Erweiterung, Diversifizierung und stärkeren Verknüpfung von Schutzzonen innerhalb zweier ökologisch wichtiger Gebiete in Brasilien geht, dem Amazonas-Waldgebiet und dem atlantischen Waldgebiet.
